At Step Up we are able to offer a professional, ethical counselling service.  We work under the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Guidelines and are able to offer counselling to parents whose children have been sexually abused.  In addition, both play and art therapy are available for children and young people under the age of 18.

At Step Up we look at the family as a whole and we are not able to offer counselling or play therapy to children under the age of 18 unless their parent or carer is using another part of the service.  This is so that we can support the parent as the child goes through the counselling process.
